FDA Approves Fomepizole as Antidote for Ethylene Glycol Poisoning in Dogs

The FDA has amended its animal drug regulations to reflect the approval of a new antidote for ethylene glycol poisoning in dogs, following a submission by Orphan Medical, Inc. The approval is effective as of December 27, 1996.
