U.S. Agencies to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for California Timber Deal

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Environmental Protection Agency, and other federal and state agencies plan to gather information for an Environmental Impact Statement to assess the environmental impact of a timber deal between the U.S. and California, which includes the transfer of 7,500 acres of forest land and the acquisition of 9,600-acre property.
