Ohio Public Utilities Commission Approves Centerior Energy and Ohio Edison Merger

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has approved a merger agreement between Centerior Energy Corporation and Ohio Edison Company, allowing the two companies to combine and form a new entity. The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company, which is also involved in the merger, will continue to operate as a separate entity.
