Truth in Lending (Regulation Z) - Final Rules Published by Federal Reserve Board and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

The Federal Reserve Board and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are publishing final rules updating the official interpretations and commentary for regulations implementing the Truth in Lending Act. The rules adjust the dollar threshold for exempt consumer credit transactions annually based on the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, with a threshold increase from $54,600 to $55,800 effective January 1, 2018, following a 1.8% annual percentage increase as of June 1, 2017.
