NHTSA Terminates Rulemaking on Fog Lamp Regulation

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has terminated a rulemaking process regarding the regulation of front and rear fog lamps under Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108, following comments that highlighted the need for an internationally-acceptable standard. NHTSA will now participate in a cooperative effort to develop a fog lamp standard with the SAE's Fog Lamp Task Force.
