NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 1991 Jeep Cherokee Vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced receipt of a petition from a company requesting a decision that certain 1991 Jeep Cherokee vehicles manufactured for the European market are eligible for importation into the US due to their substantial similarity to US-certified vehicles and their ability to be modified to meet safety standards.
