NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 1988 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign Cars
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has received a petition from Jaguar, requesting a decision that certain 1988 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign cars, which do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, can be imported into the US due to their similarity to compliant US-sold vehicles and their ability to be modified to meet safety standards.
