Saab 340B and SAAB 2000 Series Airplanes: New Airworthiness Directive to Address Electrical Arcing Issues
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive requiring inspections and corrections to prevent electrical arcing between fluorescent tube pins and lampholders on Saab Model SAAB 340B and SAAB 2000 series airplanes, which can cause fires and smoke in the passenger compartment or lavatory area.
