Ayres Corporation S2R Series Airplanes Receive Airworthiness Directive Amendment

The Federal Register has published an amendment to Airworthiness Directive 97-13-11, requiring inspections and replacements of lower spar caps on Ayres S2R series airplanes to address fatigue cracking, following an accident where the wing separated from the aircraft in flight.
