McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems Model 369D, E, F, FF, 500N, AH-6, and MH-6 Helicopters: Airworthiness Directive Amendment

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an airworthiness directive amendment requiring replacement of transmission output drive gears on certain McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems Model 369D, E, F, FF, 500N, AH-6, and MH-6 helicopters to address reports of gear failure during high-power or external-lift operations, which could lead to loss of main rotor control and helicopter control.
