FAA Adopts New Airworthiness Directive for Pratt & Whitney PW2000 Engines
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has adopted a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Pratt & Whitney PW2000 series turbofan engines, which revises and relaxes compliance intervals for rework, providing relief to operators while maintaining safety. The directive aims to prevent a potential fracture of the first stage high pressure turbine (HPT) disk.
