Proposed Establishment of Class E Airspace; St. Elmo, AL
This notice proposes to establish Class E airspace at St. Elmo, AL. A Global Positioning System (GPS) Runway (RWY) 6 Standard Instrument Approach Procedure (SIAP) has been developed for St. Elmo Airport. As a result, controlled airspace extending upward from 700 feet Above Ground Level (AGL) is needed to accommodate the SIAP and for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations at St. Elmo Airport. The operation status of the airport will change from Visual Flight Rules (VFR) to include IFR operations concurrent with the publication of the SIAP.
