FAA Issues New Airworthiness Directive for Fairchild Model F-27 Series Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) requiring Fairchild Model F-27 series airplane operators to revise their Airplane Flight Manuals to prevent loss of airplane controllability and engine overspeed. The directive aims to address incidents involving turboprop engines where the propeller ground beta range was used improperly during flight.
