Proposed Amendment to Class E Airspace; Owensboro, KY

This notice proposes to amend the Class E airspace areas at Owensboro, KY. A VOR Runway (RWY) 5 Standard Instrument Approach Procedure (SIAP) has been developed for Owensboro-Daviess County Airport. Additional controlled airspace is needed to accommodate the SIAP and for IFR operations at the airport. This proposal would provide a southwest extension to the existing Class D surface area and increase the radius of the Class E airspace that extends upward from 700 feet above the surface of the earth.
