Bureau of the Census Proposes Revision to Exempt Company-Owned Tools of Trade from SED Filing Requirement

The Bureau of the Census is proposing to amend the Foreign Trade Statistics Regulations to include an exemption for exporters who must file a Shipper's Export Declaration for temporary exports of company-owned tools of trade, software, and equipment accompanying company employees or representatives, with the exemption applying to exports lasting less than a year.
