FCC to Review Access Charge Rules for Local Exchange Carriers, Internet and Information Service Providers

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is launching a review of its rules governing access charges for local exchange carriers, internet and information service providers, with the goal of establishing fair competition in both local and long-distance markets, and determining the need for rule changes in light of recent state actions and the entry of new providers.
