US FCC Licenses Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service in 2310-2360 MHZ Frequency Band

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has decided to license a satellite Digital Audio Radio Service (DARS) in the 2310-2360 MHz frequency band, after reviewing comments and information submitted in response to a proposed rulemaking notice. The commission will award two licenses for the service through competitive bidding, following the reallocation of 25 MHz of spectrum from other services.
