FCC Proposes New Rules for Amateur Radio Services

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) on March 3, 1997, seeking public comment on rules that would allow amateur radio stations to use spread spectrum technologies and limit their power to the necessary level to prevent interference.
