FCC Proposes New Procedures for Reviewing State and Local Regulations on RF Emissions

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is proposing new procedures for reviewing requests to exempt state and local regulations from environmental impact assessments related to radio frequency emissions. The proposed rules, announced in a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), aim to streamline the process for filing and reviewing such requests, which are governed by Section 332(c)(7)(B)(v) of the Communications Act of 1934.
