Pay Telephone Reclassification and Compensation Provisions of the Telecommunications Act of 1996: Waiver Request for Local Exchange Carriers and Payphone Service Providers

The Common Carrier Bureau granted a limited waiver to local exchange carriers and payphone service providers, allowing them to delay providing payphone-specific coding digits until March 9, 1998, in response to petitions filed by three parties.
