FDA Reclassifies Infant Radiant Warmer from Class III to Class II

The FDA is issuing a final rule to reclassify the infant radiant warmer, a device that maintains infant body temperature with radiant heat, from class III (premarket approval) to class II (special controls), following a reclassification petition submitted by the Health Industries Manufacturers Association (HIMA).
