FDA Approves LaserVision Centers' Laser System for PTK and PRK Procedures

The US Food and Drug Administration has granted premarket approval to LaserVision Centers, Inc. for the LaserVision/VISX Excimer Laser System Model C, which will be used for Phototherapeutic Keratectomy (PTK) and Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK) procedures, following an agreement with VISX, Inc. and notification by the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health on November 15, 1996.
