Amoco Corp.; Filing of Food Additive Petition

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Amoco Corp. has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to include dimethyl-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate and 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid as polybasic acids intended for use as components of resinous and polymeric coatings that contact food.
