Federal Government Seeks Comments on Proposed Revisions to Audit Circulars

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is requesting public comment on proposed revisions to Circular No. A-133, which would extend audits to state and local governments, and the consolidation of Circular No. A-128 into Circular No. A-133, with Circular A-128 being rescinded. The proposed changes aim to implement the Single Audit Act Amendments of 1996, signed into law on July 5, 1996.
