USDA Receiving Petition for Nonregulated Status of Genetically Engineered Cotton

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has received a petition from Monsanto Company seeking nonregulated status for genetically engineered cotton lines 1445 and 1698, engineered to be tolerant to glyphosate herbicide, and is now soliciting public comments on potential plant pest risks.
