In settlement of alleged violations of federal law prohibiting unfair or deceptive acts or practices and unfair methods of competition this consent order prohibits, among other things, a Texas-based personal computer manufacturer from enforcing its patent rights against computer manufacturers using the VL-bus, a mechanism to transfer instructions between the computer's central processing unit and its peripherals.
