Filtration Manufacturing, Inc., et al.; Prohibited Trade Practices, and Affirmative Corrective Actions

In settlement of alleged violations of federal law prohibiting unfair or deceptive acts or practices and unfair methods of competition, this consent order prohibits, among other things, an Alabama-based corporation and three of its officers from making any representation regarding the performance, health or other benefits, or efficacy of air cleaning products, and from using the name ``Allergy 2000'' or any other trade names that represents that such products will relieve allergy symptoms, unless the respondents possesses competent and reliable scientific evidence to substantiate such representations.
