HUD to Sell Majority of Single Family Mortgages Without Recourse

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) plans to sell a significant portion of its single-family mortgages, including both performing and nonperforming loans, without the benefit of FHA insurance, with the goal of reducing losses to the FHA fund and decreasing its mortgage inventory.
