US Fish and Wildlife Service Announces 12-Month Petition Finding on Silene verecunda ssp. verecunda

The US Fish and Wildlife Service has completed a 12-month review of a petition to list Silene verecunda ssp. verecunda, also known as the Mission Dolores Campion, under the Endangered Species Act of 1973. The Service has determined that listing this species is not warranted at this time due to the lack of evidence that its populations are threatened by toxic waste site studies and military base closure actions.
