EPA Approves State Implementation Plans for Alaska and Washington to Extend PM-10 Attainment Dates

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed to extend the attainment dates for particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of less than or equal to ten micrometers (PM-10) in three nonattainment areas: Mendenhall Valley, Alaska; Spokane, Washington; and Wallula, Washington, for an additional year, following a direct final rule without prior proposal.
