Kansas Regulatory Program

OSM is announcing receipt of a proposed amendment to the Kansas regulatory program (hereinafter the ``Kansas program'') under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA). The proposed amendment consists of modifications to the Kansas revegetation guidelines pertaining to requirements for determining the productivity success of trees and shrubs. The amendment is intended to improve operational efficiency.
