NHTSA Allows Importation of Non-Compliant 1996 Mercedes-Benz Gelaendewagen MPVs

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has made a decision to permit the importation of 1996 Mercedes-Benz Gelaendewagen Type 463 multi-purpose passenger vehicles that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they can be modified to comply with these regulations.
