U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Releases Draft Recovery Plan for Endangered Appalachian Elktoe

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has made available a draft recovery plan for the critically endangered Appalachian elktoe, a freshwater mussel species found in the Upper Tennessee River system in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee, with only two known surviving populations.
