FAA Proposes Update to Airworthiness Directive for Certain McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Models

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes to update an existing airworthiness directive (AD) for certain McDonnell Douglas aircraft models, including the DC-9, DC-9-80, MD-90-30, and MD-88, to address issues with electrical wire bundles in the cockpit. The proposed update aims to prevent fires and uncontrolled smoke by rerouting the wire bundles and adding additional inspection requirements.
