Navy Amends Certifications and Exemptions Under International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972

The US Navy is updating its certifications and exemptions under the 1972 International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, as the Navy's Deputy Assistant Judge Advocate General has determined that the Large Harbor Tug YTB 820 is a Navy vessel that cannot fully comply with certain provisions without interfering with its naval function.
