NMFS Publishes Revised Sea Turtle/Shrimp Fishery Emergency Response Plan

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has released an updated Sea Turtle/Shrimp Fishery Emergency Response Plan, which outlines its policy for ensuring compliance with sea turtle conservation regulations under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) and provides guidance for future rulemaking in response to elevated sea turtle strandings associated with shrimping in the southeastern United States.
