US Government Proposes Decline to Acknowledge Yuchi Tribal Organization
The US Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs has proposed declining to acknowledge the Yuchi Tribal Organization as an Indian tribe, citing failure to meet one of the seven mandatory criteria set forth in the revised Federal acknowledgment regulations, which went into effect on March 28, 1994.
