Schedule for Rating Disabilities; Mental Disorders

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is proposing to amend that portion of its Schedule for Rating Disabilities dealing with Mental Disorders. This is part of the first comprehensive review of the rating schedule since 1945. The intended effect of this action is to update the section of the rating schedule on mental disorders to ensure that it uses current medical terminology and unambiguous criteria, and that it reflects medical advances which have occurred since the last review.
