EPA Proposes Alternative Actions on Idaho Operating Permits Program

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed alternative actions on the operating permits program submitted by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Environmental Quality, in an effort to comply with federal requirements for an approvable state program. The EPA has also proposed disapproval of the Idaho program due to existing deficiencies in Idaho's excess emissions and administrative amendments regulations, but the state intends to address these issues before the EPA takes final action.
