NMFS Issues Final Rule to Clarify Harbor Porpoise Protection Measures in Northeast Multispecies Fishery

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a final rule to correct and clarify certain sections of regulations implementing framework procedures for protecting harbor porpoises in the Northeast Multispecies Fishery, in line with Amendment 5 submitted by the New England Fishery Management Council.
