EPA Proposes Amendments to Hazardous Waste Management Regulations

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to add three petroleum refining process wastes to the list of hazardous wastes under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), while excluding eleven others. This move aims to regulate these wastes under Subtitle C of RCRA and designate them as hazardous substances subject to the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA).
