Notice of Intent to Prepare an Environmental Impact Statement on North Rochelle Tract Coal Lease Application

SMC Mining Company has submitted a request to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for a coal lease covering approximately 1,439 acres in Wyoming, with the potential to expand to 2,520 acres. The BLM will prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to assess the environmental implications of the proposed coal mining operation.
