Atlantic Coast Weakfish Fishery; Moratorium in Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a final rule to prohibit the possession and harvest of Atlantic coast weakfish in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) off the coasts of Maine and Florida, in an effort to protect the overfished weakfish stock and support the rebuilding of the population.
