EPA Approves South Carolina's State Implementation Plan for Hazardous Air Pollutants
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed to approve the State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by the State of South Carolina, which aims to establish a Federally enforceable state construction and operating permit (FESCOP) program to control hazardous air pollutants (HAPs). The approval is part of the Clean Air Act, as amended in 1990, and is expected to be finalized without further public comment.
