EPA Proposes Administrative Settlement for Hudson Coal Tar Site in New York

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed a de minimis settlement with Lockwood Properties, Inc. regarding the Hudson Coal Tar Site in Hudson, New York, under Section 122(g)(4) of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). The settlement allows Lockwood to provide access to its property for response actions, as part of a larger removal action by Niagara Mohawk Power Corp.
