Small Takes of Ringed Seals Incidental to On-Ice Seismic Activity

The US government has issued letters of authorization to three companies, BP Exploration, Western Geophysical, and Geco-Prakla, to take ringed seals incidental to on-ice seismic operations in the Beaufort Sea off Alaska, in compliance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act. The authorization was granted on December 1, 1995.
