Change in Marriage and Divorce Data Collection by National Center for Health Statistics to Begin January 1, 1996

The National Center for Health Statistics will stop collecting detailed data on marriages and divorces from participating states, while continuing to gather data on marital status and out-of-wedlock births, starting January 1, 1996.
