EPA Approves Limited Exemption for Northern Maine's NOINFX Control Approval

The EPA has approved a limited exemption request from the Clean Air Act for the Northern Maine area, allowing for reduced NOX emissions controls in nine counties, including Oxford, Franklin, and Washington. This exemption is based on a demonstration that NOX emissions in the region do not impact neighboring nonattainment areas during times of elevated ozone levels.
