EPA Approves Limited Exemption for Northern Maine's NOX Emissions

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a limited exemption request from the Clean Air Act for the Northern Maine area, allowing for reduced control measures for nitrogen oxide emissions, as the state demonstrated that these emissions do not impact neighboring nonattainment areas with elevated ozone levels.
