Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Generic Letter on Primary Water Stress Corrosion Cracking in Nuclear Power Reactors

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking public comment on a proposed generic letter that aims to standardize the inspection of control rod drive mechanisms and other vessel head penetrations in nuclear power reactors to prevent primary water stress corrosion cracking.
